This is a brilliant way to highlight the differences in the ways males and females are drawn in comics. Using Hawkeye is, I feel, a good choice. As flashy as he can be, he is not depicted as lithe as Spiderman or as bulky as Superman. He also has a couple of handy propsSome of the poses almost make sense, like this one:
Because Hawkeye would probably do that, but at the same time show how illogical the pose really is. Other images just highlight how ridiculous looking the poses are. They ask why readers accept those poses when Starfire or Wonder Woman or Catwoman. A lot of people who know way more about comics than I do have asked why the illustrators won’t draw anatomically possible poses. The Hawkeye Initiative shows you.
